You know you are a redneck when you get e-mails like this and you actually are related to the people in the photo. Yes, that is my Mom...holding the official state of Texas mammal in a net. And, not just any old net..my Dad's large mouth bass fishing net. SEE, I AM a redneck!Before you jump to any conclusions about why my parents would be catching armadillos...I mean, they could do this for fun, right? They "caught and released" 3 armadillos that were tearing up their pride and joy...their yard.
"Minnie & Jelly" (this is what my kid calls her grandparents) trapped the little suckers in nets, put them in garbage cans and drove them back to the woods to release them into the wild. So, I guess you could say I am part redneck and a distant member of PETA.
I'm pretty sure if we were TRUE rednecks, Minnie would have sent a photo of Jelly with a shotgun in one hand and a dead armadillo in the other.
