No...we weren't going to Disney...but, Shorty and I want to go. Having a kid just gives you an excuse...maybe another year or 2.
So, we went to a birthday party at the infamous Chuck E Cheese yesterday. The kid was having the time of her life...while I obsessed that my travel Purell bottle was in my pocket at all times....and then....everything changed.
Chuck E Cheese HIMSELF came out of the back to wish everyone a Happy Birthday.
I am thankful for the child check at the front door. If it wasn't in place...I am more than positive my child would have been in the parking lot looking for the fastest way out.
She was 100% terrified of him. Shaking....crying...and just plain old wanting him to go on the other side of the building. Once he walked away from our table....she was fine...and kept eating her delectable chocolate birthday cake.
She talked about him the whole way home.
"The mouse won't get me in the bathtub. The mouse won't come to my house."
Poor kid. I told her he was nice and made pizza and birthday cake for kids. She still didn't care.
Just another one of those things that will pass...I know. As you can tell in the picture...she loved Chuck E that wasn't "alive." I am pretty sure she rode that ride 17 times.
Dang it...wish she would hurry up. I am ready to go hug Goofy!
I think you already hug Goofy EVERY day.
