How did we survive?

"Don't do that, it's dangerous." "That is not safe, be careful where you walk."

"Pretty sure that is against the law."

Do you ever wonder how on earth we lived and made it through our childhoods? All the things we used to do as kids.....and magically...we are all still here.

Drinking out of the hose, standing up in the front seat, living through infancy without the "LATCH" system..... ::gasp::

Seems as if everything is dangerous. Don't eat this, it causes cancer. Don't drink that, it will ruin your teeth. Airbags could deploy and knock you unconscious.

Serious?

My Mom (Minnie) came by the other day and we were out on our walk with Doodle the Poodle. She asked if the kid could sit in her lap and ride back to the house. My overprotective self kinda hesitated. Then, I came back to the real world and remembered doing it with my parents as a kid.

I figured the 4 houses down the road at less than 5 miles per hour wouldn't hurt anyone.

Sometimes I just wish there weren't so many rules.

Really....

  1. If I had been there and seen that...
    I would've made a "Citizen's Arrest"...
Your mother would be in jail today...
    eating crackers and water.

  2. So funny! It reminds me of when Minnie used to let me "drive" the golf cart around RP and get a paper cone of water. Good times!
